Principal's Message

Dear Zeh Families,

It was another busy week at Zeh! Our fifth graders went on a field trip to the Christa McAuliffe Center on Tuesday, our second and third graders participated in the Hands-On Nature enrichment program, Algonquin students visited on Wednesday to read with each class as part of Read Across the Boros, and we held parent-teacher conferences on Thursday.

Next week, Project Adventure begins during PE classes and will run through April vacation. Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to help. This is always a favorite unit in our community, and I’m looking forward to seeing what our students accomplish.

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Bell

Project Adventure Begins March 16th - Volunteers Needed

It is the time of year to welcome back Project Adventure. Project Adventure is a climbing unit for the gym classes. If this is your first time with Project Adventure, please feel free to reach out and ask any questions to Mrs. DiSimone.  If you can only make it to one class, or if you can join us for many classes, we appreciate any help you can provide. We know everyone has busy schedules, but we hope many of you can join us for at least one class, as it is so much fun to watch the students climb and grow! Thank you in advance.

Details:

  • Parents’ Night Out TONIGHT!: All Zeh parents are invited to join us tonight at Clover Road Brewing Company (312 Main St., Hudson) to enjoy craft beer, food trucks, and musical bingo. Mention Zeh before you order and a portion of the proceeds will come back to Zeh. You deserve a break–see you there!

  • PTO Sponsored “Hands on Nature” Enrichment Program (3/10):   This week our second and third grade students participated in an exciting, hands-on science experience…with worms! This PTO-sponsored program brought nature directly into the classroom, providing a unique educational supplement to their science curriculum.

  • Launch Collaborative Fundraiser (3/23): Need an activity for the kids on Monday March 23 (no school)? The PTO is collaborating with Proctor, Peaslee, and Lincoln Street PTOs to host a fundraiser at Launch in Wesborough. The deadline for signup is this Mon 3/16. Sign in at the event will begin at 11am and jumping will be from 11:30-1:30.

  • Thank you “fur” donating!: Thank you to all the Zeh families who donated to the Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue donation drive in February. Last week fourth grade teacher Michelle Dallaire delivered donated food, treats, supplies and toys to the grateful kitties, who think Zeh is “meow-velous!”

  • Kidzfest Planning Meeting (3/30): Planning has begun for our most fun Kidzfest yet…but we still need a lot more help!  Among other things, the committee is currently seeking one or more people to make cotton candy, as well as a point person for the high school volunteers at the event. Join us for our next meeting on Monday 3/30 at 7pm at Neighborhood Tavern. Can’t make the meeting but willing to help? Send us an email!

  • Kidzfest Silent Auction Donations Needed: We are seeking sports tickets, specialty services, gift baskets/gift cards, a few nights at a vacation home, and other goodies to include in our Silent Auction fundraiser. Remember that the success of this event directly impacts continued PTO funding for field trips, enrichment activities, classroom grants, and needed school improvements at Zeh, so get creative!  Have something to donate or want more info? Email us!
