Principal's Message

Dear Zeh Families,

This Monday, September 29th, we will hold our first school safety drill of the year. During this drill, students will practice how to respond in the event of an intruder in the school. These drills are conducted in collaboration with the Northborough Police Department, and we are grateful for the support and expertise they provide. As always, we approach these sensitive topics in a developmentally appropriate way and will offer extra support to any students who may need it. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

This week we kicked off our annual PTO Fun Run Fundraiser! Our school goal is to raise $10,000 to support the many incredible programs our PTO provides for students, including field trips, enrichment opportunities, and academic grants. The funds will also to towards the purchase of a much-needed new projection system for our cafeteria. Every contribution makes a difference, and we’re excited to celebrate together as a school during the Fun Run on October 10th.

Back to School Picnic a success: Thank you to those families who joined us at the Back to School Picnic last night! We enjoyed seeing so many old friends as well as lots of new faces! A big thank you to everyone who helped out as well!
Order school pictures online and support Zeh: A reminder that a portion of picture purchases goes back to support PTO programs and activities. Don’t forget to order and thank you for supporting our school!
Fun Run Fundraiser Kicks Off: This year’s Fun Run will take place on Friday afternoon, October 10 (heading into Columbus Day weekend). Grades 3–5 will run at 1:30 pm, followed by Grades K–2 at 2:00 pm. Our goal this year is $10,000–that’s just $45 per student! Proceeds from the fun run will go toward upgrading the school’s audio/visual projection equipment and adding a new gaga pit to the playground. If we meet our school-wide fundraising goal, every student will get to Silly String Mr. Bell after the run! To donate directly to the Fun Run, visit https://tinyurl.com/2025-zehfunrun. You can also create a personalized child/family link by visiting http://family.vaalee.com.

Creating a Student/Family Personalized Fundraising Link:

If you had a Student/Family account last year, and used the Valee app, simply open it up, login, and skip to Step 4. Otherwise go to step 2
Visit http://family.vaalee.com and create your account.
In the upper right hand corner click “All” and then press “+” to add a child/family profile
1. Press the “+” button above “First Name” to upload a photo.
2. If you have multiple students at Zeh, you can either create a per-child profile or a family profile. Create a family profile by entering first names of all kids (comma separated) in the “First Name” field. Enter “Last Name”, enter “Zeh Elementary School” for school name. Homeroom info is not needed.
3. Enter your zip code, need not be accurate for ensuring privacy.
Once a child/family is created, refresh the screen, and you will observe a feed with a Zeh Fun Run tile. Click on the tile and press “SignUp”.
1. Please enter your child/family goal amount and update the Personalized Message box with the name of your children.
2. Click “complete signup” to create a child/family link
3. Press the “Link to the fundraiser” or the square box next to it to get your child/family’s unique link. Share this link with friends/family

If you need to report your child absent, you can now use this email address: zehattendance@nsboro.k12.ma.us. Please be sure to include your child's name, teacher, and reason for their absence. You can also still report an absence by phone by calling our main line at (508)351-7048.
